General English is the most popular option and helps you to improve all areas of your English. General English lessons are designed to include:
- Language for everyday life and natural communicative practice
- Speaking skills
- Reading skills
- Listening skills
- Writing skills
- Vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar
- Regular testing to assess progress
The Intensive English programme combines 15 hours of General English with an afternoon option of 6 hours per week. The following afternoon options are available:
- 6 hours of Natural English (21 hours total)
- 6 hours of Academic English (21 hours total)
The Natural English course is designed to help you build your confidence in speaking and understanding everyday English. No exams, no course books – just lots of practice!
Natural English gives you lots of opportunities to:
- practise your speaking skills and pronunciation
- improve your communication skills
- expand your vocabulary on everyday topics
- learn new phrases and idioms
- improve your fluency in real-life, everyday situations.
The Academic IELTS Preparation course is for students who wish to study at British universities and who need to achieve the entry requirements in English language (normally IELTS 6 for undergraduate and IELTS 6.5 for post-graduate courses).
Learn English at your own pace-individual English tuition gives you 1 to 1 access to one of our experienced English teachers, which means you can learn at your own pace.
Evening Classes are a perfect part-time option for students who cannot attend day-time courses or who want to 'top up' their daytime studies
Our exciting English language immersion summer programme based at Loch Insh Outdoor Centre, is for young learners aged 10-14. Our qualified English language teachers join professional sports instructors participating in every activity to create an authentic immersion learning experience. All new language is monitored and recorded and then developed into a 1.5 hour review session for students every evening.
This unique programme blends our General English course with a fantastic Scottish cultural experience. The course includes four afternoon excursions a week (2-3 hours each), an evening activity at one of the city’s oldest pubs with traditional Scottish music and a full-day excursion on the Saturday. A teacher will accompany you on all trips and add to your English language development.
